Austria Arrests 4 Suspects on Terrorism Related Charges Tied to Afghanistan

austria-flagAustrian police have arrested four people suspected of terrorism, including three who were on their way to training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the interior ministry announced Thursday. The three recruits were arrested Wednesday at Vienna airport, ministry spokesman Rudolf Gollia said. A fourth suspect, an Austrian national, was detained around the same time in Vienna on suspicion of recruiting for terror training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan and of financing a terrorist organisation, the German Taliban Mujahideen (DTM), Gollia added.
